History

The CAP Aviation Consulting Group operates offices in Daytona Beach, Florida and the Greater Cincinnati, Ohio area. Factors that were a catalyst for the group to begin this endeavor were a review of the FAA Industry Training Standards (FITS), Human Factors and Facilitation policies and procedures. As the group began an in-depth look at these programs, it became apparent they were similar to a program utilized by US Major, National and Regional airlines. The program, AQP (Advanced Qualification Program) was developed for the airlines to change the way training occurred. This was necessary because of the introduction of new technology and the glass cockpit. The members of the CAP Aviation Consulting Group recognized the same changes occurring in the business and general aviation markets. Just as the FAA addressed the airlines need for change with the introduction of AQP, they have done the same in general aviation with the introduction of FITS. The opportunity for the group to participate in this evolution of general aviation training was exciting. As a result, the corporation was formed and the endeavor began.

The CAP Aviation Consulting Group is currently working with the FAA, flight-training providers, operators and industry to present IS-BAO auditing services, curriculums and additional products for their review and future implementation.

The CAP Aviation Consulting Group is currently participating in the FAA Technically Advanced Aircraft Automation sub-group and the Human Factors subcommittee for unmanned aircraft (UA). Additionally, CAPACG participated in the FAA Industry Training Standards (FITS) subcommittee. The group’s commitment to presenting information to the FAA and other interested parties to ease the transition to this modernized type of training and aircraft is steadfast. The professionals at the CAP Aviation Consulting Group have a history of working through the process of getting new curriculums/programs up and running. With over 50 years of combined aviation training experience, the CAP Aviation Consulting Group is looking forward to the challenges ahead.
