John Gauch

John joined CAPACG in 2013 as the Director of Sales. His involvement in aviation has spanned over 25 years.  John was the Fleet Sales Director for Cirrus Aircraft and with this general aviation exposure; he is uniquely positioned to assist with the sales of CAPACG products and services. Additionally, he served as Vice President – Domestic Sales for Cirrus. Most recently John served as Vice President of Sales for Gulf Coast Avionics, Garmin’s first and largest aviation dealer.

Mr. Gauch earned an Aerospace Management degree from Kent State University.  Upon graduation, he worked for the Cessna Aircraft Company as a Cessna Pilot Center specialist and store manager of Hangar 10.  Gauch worked for Sporty’s Pilot Shop for 15 years spending the last four years as President.   He was also Vice President – Sales & Marketing for Diamond Aircraft Industries, Inc.

Mr. Gauch has shown a strong commitment to furthering aviation through his efforts to support the Boy Scout’s Aviation Exploring program and EAA’s Young Eagles program.  He is a member of AABI, AOPA, EAA, COPA, IAC, AOPA Air Safety Foundation, CPA, Seaplane Pilots Association, and served on the Aviation Accreditation Board International Board of Trustees and the Accreditation Committee as well as the Advisory Board to the Dan Beard Council, Boy Scouts of America.

John holds a Commercial Pilots License with an instrument rating with 6000 hours of flight experience which includes over 3000 hours of technically advance aircraft flight time.
